The Army Command, Directorate of Orientation, issued the following statement: Army units have taken security measures in the areas of Tripoli; Halba, Al-Bireh and Al-Arida in Akkar; Khaldeh and Choueifat in Aley; and Naameh, Rmeileh, Saadiyat and Damour in the Chouf. The measures included motorized and foot patrols and the setting up of temporary checkpoints, to pursue wanted persons and individuals who disrupt security.
