Standards & transparency

Most stories on Daily Lebanon are reports by other publishers, shown as they published them: their headline, photo and summary, credited by name and linked to the full original on their website.

We publish a publisher's full text only when they have given us permission. Otherwise we show their summary and send you to their site for the complete story.

Stories written by the Daily Lebanon team carry the author's name and list the sources they relied on.

When several outlets report the same story, we show it once and list every outlet that reported it.

Corrections are added to the story with the date, and the update time shown on a story changes only when its substance changes.

Our crawler identifies itself as DailyLebanonBot, follows robots.txt and publisher rate limits, and never bypasses paywalls, logins or other access controls.
