Finance and Budget Committee Chair MP Ibrahim Kanaan announced, after the committee's meeting, that the committee had approved two sections of the articles of the 2027 budget, relating to the authorization of revenue collection, spending, borrowing and the transfer of appropriations.
Deadline for the government
Kanaan explained that the committee had moved on to the review of program laws, where it put some articles on hold and gave the government a deadline to assess the proposed projects.
Kanaan noted that the committee had reduced the appropriations for program laws in the 2027 budget to zero.
