Middle East Airlines (MEA) announced the resumption of its flights to and from Beirut and Riyadh, in a statement carried by LBCI and IMLebanon. According to the statement, the decision followed the reopening of King Khalid International Airport and the receipt of the permits needed to operate a set number of flights.
According to IMLebanon, the announced flights include flight ME424 from Beirut to Riyadh, departing at 08:05. They also include flight ME425 from Riyadh to Beirut, departing at 12:40. Both flights operate on set days between 2 and 14 November 2026, namely 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14 November.
IMLebanon said that passengers whose flights were cancelled or are being cancelled, or who were rerouted to Dammam, may rebook their tickets on Riyadh flights at no additional cost until 15 November 2026.
The company said the flight schedule remains subject to developments and may be changed according to operational conditions and approved permits.
Neither source gave a reason for the flight cancellations or schedule changes, or a reason for the closure of King Khalid International Airport and the closure date. Neither source specified the number of flights permitted to operate in Riyadh beyond the announced schedule.
