The US State Department said today, Friday, that it has approved the sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 missiles to Ukraine for $2.1 billion. In a statement, the department said Ukraine will pay for the missiles with contributions from Canada, Germany and Norway, as well as funds from the Ukraine Support Loan provided by the European Union.
