Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said that Lebanon is an independent and sovereign state, and that Lebanese will not accept anyone sharing their sovereignty. Aoun said positive neutrality is necessary to keep Lebanon out of regional conflicts. IMLebanon reported that Aoun continued: “Positive neutrality is necessary to keep Lebanon out of regional conflicts, as it is no longer able to bear more rivalries between regional axes, ambitions and desires for domination.”
IMLebanon reported that Aoun received the second volume of a book on the neutrality of Lebanon and the Lebanese, and that his remarks were made on that occasion.
